Returns & Replacements Policy

Returns & Replacements Policy

At Line & Bench, we sell professional industrial equipment intended for long-term use in repair shops, manufacturing facilities, fleet operations, maintenance departments, machine shops, and other commercial environments.

Because much of the equipment we sell is heavy, freight-shipped, manufacturer-direct, built to order, or configured for a specific application, industrial equipment cannot be returned in the same way as ordinary consumer products.

Our goal is to make equipment selection clear before an order is placed and to help resolve legitimate shipping, manufacturing, or fulfillment issues quickly and professionally.

Damaged Shipments

Industrial equipment may ship by LTL or other freight carrier.

Customers are responsible for carefully inspecting all freight shipments before signing the delivery receipt.

If visible damage is present:

  1. Inspect the crate, pallet, packaging, and equipment.
  2. Photograph the damage before unloading whenever possible.
  3. Clearly note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt before signing.
  4. If damage appears severe, you may refuse the shipment where appropriate.
  5. Contact us as soon as possible at:

support@lineandbench.com

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the packaging
  • Photos of the damaged equipment or component
  • A copy or photo of the delivery receipt
  • A brief description of the damage

Freight carriers and manufacturers may impose strict reporting deadlines, so shipping damage should be reported immediately after delivery.

Concealed Freight Damage

Some damage may not be visible until the shipment is unpacked.

If concealed damage is discovered:

  1. Stop unpacking or installation where practical.
  2. Take clear photos of the packaging and damaged equipment.
  3. Retain all crates, pallets, packaging, and shipping materials.
  4. Contact support@lineandbench.com promptly.

We will work with the manufacturer and carrier to determine the appropriate resolution.

Delays in reporting concealed freight damage may affect the ability to file a successful carrier claim.

Incorrect Products or Components

If you receive a product, accessory, or component that does not match your confirmed order, contact us promptly at:

support@lineandbench.com

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • The model or part number received
  • Photos of the product and shipping labels
  • A description of the discrepancy

For verified fulfillment errors, Line & Bench will coordinate with the manufacturer or fulfillment partner to correct the order.

Do not ship any product back without receiving return instructions and authorization.

Defective Equipment

Products sold by Line & Bench may be covered by warranties provided by their respective manufacturers.

If you believe your equipment has a manufacturing defect, contact:

support@lineandbench.com

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Manufacturer and model number
  • Serial number, when available
  • Photos or video showing the issue
  • A description of the problem
  • Any troubleshooting steps already taken

Line & Bench will help coordinate the claim with the manufacturer.

Depending on the manufacturer's warranty terms and the nature of the issue, the resolution may include:

  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Replacement parts
  • Repair
  • Authorized service
  • Replacement equipment
  • Another manufacturer-approved remedy

Warranty eligibility, labor coverage, replacement freight, service requirements, and other terms are determined by the applicable manufacturer's warranty.

Final Sale Policy for Industrial Equipment

Unless otherwise stated in writing, industrial equipment orders are considered final once accepted and processed by the manufacturer.

We generally cannot accept returns based on:

  • Buyer's remorse
  • Change of mind
  • No longer needing the equipment
  • Purchasing equipment for temporary use
  • Choosing the wrong model
  • Choosing the wrong size or capacity
  • Incorrect voltage or phase selection
  • Failure to confirm available electrical service
  • Failure to measure entrances or facility access
  • Failure to arrange appropriate unloading equipment
  • Changes to the customer's business plans
  • Equipment that does not fit the intended location because measurements were not confirmed
  • Customer-supplied application information that was incomplete or inaccurate

We strongly encourage customers to contact Line & Bench before ordering if there is any uncertainty about equipment selection.

Standard Stock Products

Some manufacturers may permit returns of certain unused, unopened, standard-stock products.

Where a manufacturer authorizes such a return, the following may apply:

  • Prior return authorization is required
  • The equipment must be unused and in original condition
  • Original packaging may be required
  • Return freight may be the customer's responsibility
  • Manufacturer restocking fees may apply
  • Original freight charges may be non-refundable
  • Special handling or inspection fees may apply

Return eligibility varies by manufacturer and product.

Do not return equipment to Line & Bench or directly to a manufacturer without written authorization.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

Custom, Configured & Made-to-Order Equipment

Many industrial machines are manufactured or configured specifically for the customer.

This may include equipment with:

  • Specific voltage or phase
  • Custom dimensions
  • Special controls
  • Optional filtration
  • Oil skimmers
  • Heating systems
  • Custom baskets or fixtures
  • Wash, rinse, or drying stages
  • Application-specific modifications
  • Customer-selected accessories

Once the manufacturer accepts or begins processing a custom, configured, or made-to-order machine, the order may become:

Non-cancelable and non-returnable.

Line & Bench may require written approval of the final specifications before releasing these orders.

Customers are responsible for reviewing all specifications carefully before approving production.

Order Cancellations

If you need to cancel an order, contact us immediately at:

support@lineandbench.com

We will make reasonable efforts to stop the order before it enters production or fulfillment.

However, cancellation is not guaranteed.

If the manufacturer has already:

  • Accepted the order
  • Ordered materials
  • Configured the equipment
  • Begun production
  • Prepared the equipment for shipment
  • Shipped the equipment

the order may no longer be cancelable.

Manufacturer cancellation charges, restocking fees, freight costs, or other expenses may apply.

Any applicable costs will be communicated before the cancellation is finalized whenever possible.

Application & Specification Responsibility

Line & Bench helps customers evaluate equipment and may coordinate with manufacturers to confirm appropriate configurations.

However, customers are responsible for providing accurate information regarding their application, including:

  • Parts being cleaned
  • Part dimensions
  • Part weight
  • Materials
  • Contaminants
  • Required throughput
  • Available voltage and phase
  • Facility access
  • Utility requirements
  • Loading and unloading requirements

Customers are responsible for reviewing and approving final equipment specifications before purchase.

If you are unsure which machine is right for your application, contact Line & Bench before ordering.

We would rather help confirm the correct equipment before the order is placed than attempt to solve an avoidable specification problem afterward.

Return Shipping

When a return is authorized, shipping responsibility will depend on the reason for the return and the applicable manufacturer policy.

For approved returns of non-defective equipment, the customer may be responsible for:

  • Return freight
  • Freight insurance
  • Proper crating or packaging
  • Restocking fees
  • Inspection fees
  • Original outbound freight
  • Other manufacturer-imposed charges

For verified manufacturer defects, fulfillment errors, or freight-damage claims, shipping responsibility will be determined according to the applicable manufacturer, carrier, or warranty terms.

Line & Bench will help coordinate the process.

Refunds

When a refund is approved, it will be issued after any required returned equipment has been received, inspected, and accepted by the manufacturer or authorized return location.

Approved deductions may include:

  • Restocking fees
  • Return freight
  • Original freight
  • Manufacturer fees
  • Damage caused after delivery
  • Missing parts or accessories

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method whenever possible.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institution.

Manufacturer Policies

Certain manufacturers may maintain return, warranty, cancellation, or replacement policies that differ from this general policy.

Where manufacturer-specific requirements apply to a product, those requirements may govern the transaction.

Line & Bench will work with customers and manufacturing partners to help identify the appropriate resolution.

Our Commitment

Industrial equipment is a significant investment.

Our goal is to help customers select the right equipment before purchase, communicate specifications and delivery requirements clearly, and remain involved when legitimate issues arise.

We do not believe in careless recommendations or disappearing after the sale.

If your equipment arrives damaged, incorrect, or appears to have a manufacturing defect, contact us and we will help coordinate the next steps.
